Former NFL player Plaxico Burress is scheduled to make a special appearance at ARM & HAMMER Park as a part of this year’s NFL Night that’s happening on April 18 at 7”00 p.m. when the Thunder host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Burress is set to throw the ceremonial First Pitch of the game and will be sticking around for an autograph session afterward to help celebrate football being played at the ARM & HAMMER Park.
The Norfolk, Virginia native began playing football at a young age and eventually went on to play for Michigan State University where he set a Big Ten Conference record for catching 65 psases in a single season. He entered the 2000 NFL Draft where he was selected as the eighth overall pick in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers, with whom he stayed with for the first four years of his playing career. In 2005 for a season he then went to play for the New York Giants, and shortly after that did some time with the New York Jets before finishing off his career where he started with the Steelers and retiring in 2013.
The XLII Champion will be at the ARM & HAMMER Park as a part of this year’s NFL Night which is set to occur on April 18 during the evening hours. He will throw the first pitch and then hang out to interact with fans and sign autographs, so it should be a very memorable experience for all.
