Randy Moss and Daunte CulpepperThe Woodbury Gridiron Club has partnered with two-time Super Bowl champion and University of Minnesota All-American defensive back Tyrone Carter to bring the public a star studded training camp on May 3-4 at Royals Stadium in Woodbury, Minnesota.

The event will also feature former Minnesota Vikings stars Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper, as well as a long list of other NFL and collegiate standouts who will all serve as coaches at the camp. The goal of the camp is to train student-athletes in specific positions.

“I thought this would be a great opportunity for my alma mater to get some top talent to teach the kids,” said Matt Wangsness, a 1996 Woodbury graduate and former teammate of Carter’s at the University of Minnesota, who helped organize the event. “It’s an opportunity for these kids not just to go through a drill once or twice. This gives them an opportunity to focus on a specific skill set.”

The two-day camp, open to all players 13 and up, costs $300 per player and will offer top notch instruction by Carter and his team of former professional and collegiate standouts. Since his NFL career ended Carter has focused on training prep and collegiate athletes for the next level.

In order to help more student-athletes achieve their goals he launched the TC Elite Training School this year. His inspiration for launching the school was simple, to pass on his knowledge of the game to aspiring collegiate and professional football players. The Woodbury camp will be the inaugural event for TC Elite Training, and Carter hopes it will serve as a springboard for events and training camps in the future.
