Former NFL running back Ricky Williams is set to be the keynote speaker for this year’s two-day and first ever World Medical Marijuana Business Conference and Expo on April 21-22 in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. More than 5,000 people are expected to attend, and Williams, who is a long-time advocate of the substance, will share his opinions on the matter and why it should be legalized everywhere.
The San Diego, California native played baseball, football, and ran track in high school due, but really excelled in football due to his love for physical contact sports. He ended up accepting an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Texas where he played for the Longhorns for all four of his college years. Williams entered the 1999 NFL Draft and was selected in the first round as the 5th overall pick by the New Orleans Saints who he stayed with for the first two years of his career. From 2002 to 2010, he was on the roster of the Miami Dolphins with the exception of one year, in 2006, where he went north to the Toronto Argonauts. He ended his playing career with the Baltimore Ravens in 2011.
Williams will be showing up at the first ever World Medical Marijuana Business Conference and Expo this April in Pittsburgh to serve as the keynote speaker for the event and an advocate for the substance. He will be sharing his knowledge and experiences with medical marijuana, which will no doubt be a great talk to listen to.
