The campaign, which launched on April 24, 2014 with a new digital short, features Decker helping a guy with his own #RoughLife moment. A #RoughLife moment is a moment in which a person is faced with a problem that really isn’t a problem. An example would be, which potato chip holds more dip, packs more flavor, and has more crunch? That of course, is Ruffles.

“The Ruffles brand has long prided itself in being a solution to a major problem fans face, needing a sturdier chip to withstand the pressure of their thick dip,” said Christina Menendez, senior director of marketing at Frito Lay. “Now we’re bringing to light the multitude of other “problems” our fans deal with on a daily basis, offering a platform for them to voice their quote-unquote rough stories.”

The #RoughLife campaign featuring Decker is launching leading up to the NFL Draft and will continue to live throughout the year on the Ruffles Facebook and Twitter pages.

Decker recently signed with the New York Jets after starring for the Denver Broncos since 2010. In 2013 he helped lead the Broncos to an AFC Championship, and has accumulated 33 touchdowns on 222 receptions and 3,070 receiving yards in his short career. Known to be one of the smartest and athletic receivers in the National Football League, Decker is excited to start the 2014 season in New York and bring his talents to a new look Jets team.
