Saintsation Kriste Lewis was a guest speaker at the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation’s Leadership Conference which was attended by over 100 people including representatives from each state and from Canada as well. Kriste’s goal was to bring awareness to the audience about the extreme dangers of kidney disease which is the cause of over 90,000 deaths each year in the United States, a larger amount than both breast and prostate cancer put together. When Kriste was diagnosed with the disease 15 years ago she felt that it was her duty to spread the word so that other people would be able to catch it in time to discuss options with a medical professional.
Saintsation Kriste (whose real name is Kriste Lewis) is one of the NFL cheerleaders for the New Orleans Saints. Since she has been going around and creating awareness on the matter, she has commented that many people suffering from similar issues and on dialysis have come up to her during the games and thank her for being so active in the kidney community. Fans of hers take comfort in knowing that someone in the spotlight is using their fame for a good purpose, and hopefully she will continue to recruit new listeners as she attends for events. In fact, she has also been invited to promote kidney disease awareness at the National Convention in June 2016 in Orlando, Florida.
Overall, her speech was a big success and it can be easily assumed that Kriste felt good about getting to speak to so many representatives who have the power to do something about it in their state and region.
