Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas got together with some of his teammates to host the “Steaks and Seahawks” dinner that took place on Monday November 30th at Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue, Washington. More than 150 people showed up to the event and the players were successfully able to raise money to benefit the Thomas’ Guardian Angel Foundation. It was a lot of fun for everyone who participated, and Thomas himself wanted to genuinely show his passion for helping others. The Seahawk is known to be very generous with community service overall, as he often does things like this and works a coat drive in the winter, and a free football clinic in his hometown during the summer months.
The Orange, Texas native got his start playing football during his high school years where he became an immediate standout and managed to get himself an athletic scholarship to college. He ended up attending the University of Texas at Austin from 2007 through 2009. Thomas entered the 2010 NFL Draft where he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round as the 14th overall pick, and he has stayed with the team ever since. The four-time Pro Bowl player was ranked in the top 100 NFL players for four years in a row from 2012-2015.
Thomas and some of his fellow Seahawks participated in a fundraiser last month to benefit the Thomas’ Guardian Angels Foundation, and it is needless to say that Seattle football fans jumped at the opportunity to hang out with the guys.
