Loretta Claiborne Speaking FeeStudents at Salem Elementary School in Lithonia, Georgia received a lesson on bullying from Special Olympic athlete and motivational speaker Loretta Claiborne on October 9. During her appearance she talked to students about her life and accomplishments, and spread her anti-bullying message using personal experiences from her own life. When asked about how many medals she had won at the Special Olympics Claiborne replied, “I never count my medals, but I’ve counted every opportunity I’ve had to make a difference. Spreading the message to students is better than winning medals.”
