Come hang out with Dallas Mavericks players, coaches and team owner Mark Cuban. The Mavs Ball: A Blue Tie Affair is taking place at The Factory Ballroom at 2713 Canton Street in Dallas on Friday January 27th. Presented by Smith Thompson Security, this awesome night will be an evening of dinner, cocktails, dancing and other fun activities.
The seated dinner benefits the Mavs Foundation, which has designated six 2017 beneficiaries: Boys & Girls Club of Arlington, Dallas CASA, Family Gateway, Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas, Nexus Recovery Center and Readers 2 Leaders.
Each nonprofit will receive $25,000. The Mavs Foundation also supports other children’s and family causes and needs, including disaster victims in North Texas.
The evening’s lineup includes a performance by illusionist Dan White and live and silent auctions. Last year’s Blue Tie Affair raised $570,000 before expenses.
Established in October 1996, the Mavs Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private foundation affiliated with the Dallas Mavericks professional basketball team. Over the last 20 years, the Mavs Foundation has granted over $3.5 million dollars to nonprofit organizations serving women, children and families in need and created Reading and Learning Centers and basketball courts across the North Texas community.
