Usain Bolt AppearanceThe fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, teamed up with former Major League Baseball player, Johnny Damon, to make an appearance at The PUMA Store in Soho Training Event on September 3, 2014 in New York City. At the event the two posed for pictures and met with fans to show off some of the new PUMA line. It was lights, camera, action, and as per usual, both of them shined in the limelight.

Johnny Damon was the face of the PUMA brand in Major League Baseball during much of his 18 year big league career. Though he came into the league with the Royals in 1995 as a clean cut kid Orlando, Florida, he later became known for his wild beard and long hair in Boston. When he retired in 2012 he had posted a career .284 average with 235 home runs, 522 doubles, and over 400 stolen bases. He’ll always be remembered as one of the Red Sox that broke the “Curse of the Bambino” in 2004, leading the franchise to it’s first World Series title since 1918.

Usain Bolt continues to be one of the most exciting athletes in recent memory, posting lightning fast times and dominating the competition as if they are standing still. Heading into the 2016 Olympic Games it is hard to imagine the hype that will surround him as he vies for three more Gold Medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m dash. When that time comes make sure you set your DVR and recording devices and don’t blink, because you just might miss him as he fly’s past everyone into the record books yet again.
