Former Minnesota Vikings legend Chuck Foreman was the guest speaker at the Fundraising Banquet for the Outdoor Adventure Foundation on March 28 at the Sioux Falls Ramada Inn & Suites to benefit the funding for a hunting trip for children with illnesses and wounded warriors. The event took place between the hours of 5-10 p.m. at the cost of $50 per person, but it was money well spent for NFL fans who came to listen to Foreman’s talk.
The five-time Pro Bowl player and three-time NFC champion was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1973 NFL draft and spent six seasons with the team and one year with the New England Patriots before retiring from the sport. He currently hosts a weekly radio show on the internet called “Spin it! With Chuck Foreman” and is also a substitute teacher at Bloomington Kennedy High School in Minnesota. Foreman’s son, Jay Foreman, was also a NFL player for seven years as a linebacker.
The 1973 Rookie of the Year gave a fun and enthusiastic talk at this year’s Fundraiser for the Outdoor Adventure Foundation, and it was a big success that will hopefully get many ill youngsters and injured former soldiers a chance to spend some time hunting out in the woods.
