Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson has just been announced as a new representative for the brand, Adidas. One of the reasons that the player appealed to the company is the fact that he was wearing Adidas shoes during the event where he won the MVP award in 2012. Peterson used to be an endorser for Nike, but when he had suspected trouble at home regarding the treatment of his children last year he was dropped from their contract. Even though the player claims to have heard from the representatives since then, he claims that he has moved on and is happy with his new found relationship with Adidas.
The six-time Pro Bowl player was born and raised in Palestine, Texas and is the son of two great college athletes. Peterson was a stand out player in track, basketball, and football during his high school years and ended up taking his talent to play football for the University of Oklahoma. He entered in the 2007 NFL draft and was selected as the 7th overall pick by Minnesota Vikings, with whom he still plays with today. Since his entrance into the NFL he has made a star name for himself with a large number of accomplishments and rankings in just the last 8 years.
Peterson is excited to become a part of the Adidas family, and they are equally thrilled to have the player on board as one of their newest ambassadors.
