WNBA star Allie Quigley is returning back to her stomping grounds in Joliet, Illinois to host a one day basketball clinic for girls on Labor Day, September 7th. The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in the JCA Student Activity Center, and each participant will get a autograph and “Angels and Saints” basketball t-shirt in addition to being personally instructed by the star herself. Each girl will be taught how to improve their basketball skills and learn more about the sport itself, so it is bound to be a fun and thrilling event for everyone. There will be other notable figures from the basketball world in attendance to help out with the camp and make it even better than anyone would expect.
The 2014 WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year got her start in her career by playing at DePaul University from where she graduated from in 2008. She entered the 2008 WNBA Draft and was selected by the Seattle Storm as the 22nd overall pick, but ended up going down south to Phoenix to play on the Mercury for two years. Quigley bounced around different clubs in 2010 and 2011, but was signed to the Chicago Sky in 2013. As of 2015, she made the announcement that she is taking her talents overseas to Turkey to play in Istanbul for Fernerbahca Istanbul.
Before Quigley departs for her new adventure abroad, she will be hosting a one day camp on September 7th in her hometown of Joliet. Girls of all skill levels will be encouraged to sign up for the camp, and they will get lots of great tips and advice on how to improve their playing.
