You would think on their day off, a baseball player would want some R&R. Not the case for World Series MVP David Freese as he hosted a baseball camp on Thursday, June 28th presented by Fifth Third Bank in St. Louis. Boys and girls ages 6-14 joined St. Louis Cardinals third baseman and David Freese for baseball instruction and fun at the 2012 Playstation ProCamp. From 9-12pm at Lafayette High School, kids got the chance to learn baseball techniques and interact with David.
In 2011, David set a MLB postseason record with 21 runs batted in, earning the NLCS MVP Award, World Series MVP Award, and the Babe Ruth Award, naming him the MVP of the MLB postseason. Big things are ahead for David as he takes over as the Cardinals main source of power since Albert Pujols’ departure.
