Burger King Endorsements - Celebrities Who Endorse Burger King

Burger King, the international fast food chain known for the Whopper, was founded in 1954. Although much of Burger King’s advertising efforts have centered on “The King,” it has also used a variety of celebrity endorsers to help promote the company.

In 1981, at the age of four, the then unknown Sarah Michelle Gellar appeared in a series of Burger King commercials promoting the size of its burger compared to McDonald’s. From 2005-2006 Burger King launched a viral ad and video campaign following the love story of Brooke Burke and The King. Also in 2005 Burger King partnered with the hit TV show The Apprentice and sold a limited edition “Apprentice burger.” To help promote the burger, Donald Trump appeared in a 30 second commercial that ran on NBC. NASCAR driver Tony Stewart’s confirmed his endorsement of Burger King’s Whoppers in a series of commercials and webcasts in 2009 that showed him taking a polygraph test. Meanwhile Piers Morgan, a Britain’s Got Talent judge, was featured in Burger King advertisements in the UK.
