Mr. Andrew N. Liveris serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dow AgroSciences International Ltd. Mr. Liveris has been the Executive Chairman of The Dow Chemical Company, (holding company of Dow Corning Corp.) since April 1, 2006, Chief Executive Officer since November 1, 2004 and its President since November 11, 2003. Mr. Liveris serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dow Epoxy Systems. Mr. Liveris led global chemical and plastics corporation. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of The Dow Chemical Company from November 11, 2003 to November 1, 2004. He has 28 years of experience in manufacturing, sales, marketing, new business development and management. He was with Dow Chemical Co., since 1976 in Melbourne, Australia, and held various production, project engineering, marketing and business leadership positions in Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand and the U.S. He led Dow's Performance Chemicals Business portfolio. He has great experience in the Asian markets and in running complex, global enterprises. He has spent 33 years at Dow in manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, and business and general management, with responsibility for all of Dow's businesses. He has spent the majority of his career in Asia. Mr. Liveris served as General Manager of Dow's Thailand Operations from 1989 to 1993, and later led all of Dow's Asia Pacific operations. He served as Group Business Director for Emulsion Polymers and New Ventures from 1992 to 1993, General Manager of Dow's start-up businesses in Environmental Services from 1993 to 1994 and as Vice President of Dow's start-up businesses in Environmental Services from 1994 to 1995. Mr. Liveris served as the President of Dow Chemical Pacific Limited from 1995 to 1998, Vice President of Specialty Chemicals from 1998 to 2000 and Business Group President for Performance Chemicals of Dow Chemical Company from 2000 to 2003. He served in leadership positions for the Soap and Detergent Association and for the American Chemistry Council, Inc. He served as the Chairman of the Board of American Chemistry Council, Inc. and serves as its Director. He served as the Chairman of US-China Business Council and previously served as Vice Chairman. He has been an Executive Director of Dow Chemical Co., since February 2004. He serves as At Large Member of Business Roundtable, The. He serves as a Director of the United States Climate Action Partnership. He has been Director of International Business Machines Corp. since February 2010. He serves as a Member of the Board of Midland Center for the Arts and Lake Huron Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a member of the U.S.-India CEO Forum, and a board member of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Mr. Liveris graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, and earned the University Gold Medal, the university's highest honor. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers.
