Mr. Charles W. Shivery has been the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Northeast Utilities (NU) (a/k/a, Northeast Utilities System) since March 29, 2004. Mr. Shivery served as an Interim President of NU from January 1, 2004 to March 29, 2004. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of NU Enterprises, Inc., , a subsidiary of Northeast Utilities from June 2002 to December 18, 2003. Mr. Shivery served as Co-President of Constellation Energy Group, Inc., the parent company of Baltimore Gas & Electric and other energy-related businesses, from October 2000 to February 2002; President and Chief Executive Officer of Constellation Power Source Holdings, Inc., from July 2000 to February 2002; Chief Executive Officer and President of Constellation Enterprises, Inc. from 1998 to February 2002; and Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of Constellation Power Source, Inc., from 1997 to February 2002. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Western Massachusetts Electric Co. since March 29, 2004 and also its Executive Officer. He served as President of NU's Competitive Group from June 2002 to December 2003, responsible for the strategic growth and performance of NU's competitive energy businesses, which include Select Energy, Select Energy Services, Northeast Generation Services Company, and Northeast Generation Company, from June 2002 to December 31, 2003. Mr. Shivery joined Northeast Utilities in 2002. He held numerous senior management positions at Constellation including: Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Constellation Energy Source; President of Constellation Energy Solutions; and Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of BG&E. He joined BG&E in 1972 after four years in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Shivery has been the Chairman of Public Service Company of New Hampshire since January 19, 2007. He serves as the Chairman of the MetroHartford Alliance, Inc. He has been the Chairman of Yankee Gas Services Company since January 19, 2007. He has been the Chairman of Western Massachusetts Electric Co. since January 19, 2007 and The Connecticut Light and Power Company since January 19, 2007. Mr. Shivery served as the Chairman of Connecticut Business And Industry Association, Inc. Mr. Shivery has been a Director of Public Service Company of New Hampshire since January 19, 2007 and The Connecticut Light and Power Company since January 19, 2007. He has been Director at Webster Financial Corp. since July 2009. He has been a Director of Northeast Utilities Foundation since March 1, 2004. He serves as a Director of Association of Edison Illuminating Companies, Energy Insurance Mutual Limited Company, Webster Bank, edison Electric Institute, the Electric Power Research Institute Inc., Connecticut Science Center, and Connecticut Children's Hospital.
