She graduated cum laude from Princeton and won a Rotary International Graduate Fellowship in Ireland. She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York School of Medicine at Buffalo, where she conducted research in athlete's amenorrhea, breast cancer rehabilitation, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and endometriosis.
