Puma Endorsers - Athletes Endorsed by Puma
Puma, the German athletic shoe-maker, does not have the depth or extensive endorsement roster that its competition has. However, for having a relatively small budget allocated for celebrity endorsements Puma has been strategic and quite successful.
In 2002 Puma earned a lot of media buzz and attention when endorser, Serena Williams, wore a black faux leather catsuit during her match on the first night of the US Open. Although no longer with Puma, her partnership with the athletic apparel company proved to be just what Puma needed to set themselves apart. Currently, Puma is doing the same thing with running icon Usain Bolt and pro-golfer Rickie Fowler. Other Puma endorsers past and present include: Lexi Thompson, Sheldon Shepherd, Christopher Gordon, Anna Nordqvist, Johan Edwards, Everaldo Creary, O’Neil Peart, Moses Kipsiro, Delilah DiCrescento, Johan Wissman, Sabrina Mockenhaupt, Maurice Smith, Mustafa Mohamed, Sean Quigley, Mark Lewis-Francis, Shevon Stoddart, Jermaine Gonzales, Oscar De La Hoya, Vince Carter, Ken Read, Rome Kirby and Nicky Hayden.
