Growing up in the Daytona Beach, Florida, Ryan was an All-County wide receiver in high school and a centerfielder in college. He had hopes of playing sports at a high level, which fell through due to a nagging knee injury. He is still actively involved in flag football and softball leagues throughout the Orlando area and enjoys playing golf, tennis, biking, running, ping pong and weight training. When it's all said and done, Ryan would like to be known as one of the most influential people in the world of sports marketing.
Ryan was born in Edison, New Jersey on December 30, 1977 and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1999 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. He was recently named the winner of the 2003 University of Central Florida Rising Star Award for the College of Business, nominated for top 40 under 40 in the Orlando Business Journal and 2011's Most Influential Men to Watch. Ryan currently splits his time in Hollywood, CA and Downtown Orlando, Florida and has started four successful companies over the past ten years. His knowledge of the Internet has allowed him to provide successful marketing strategies to all size businesses in many different niche industries. A few simple words to describe Ryan would be: Internet Entrepreneur, Marketing Guru and Sports Enthusiast.
Being involved in sports all his life, he has hands-on experience in looking for the most creative ways to promote athletes, which include website development, event booking, Internet promotion and creating a strong brand around the athlete. Along the way, he's worked with many world class sports celebrities, such as Mark Cuban, Wayne Gretzky, Joe Theismann, Pete Carroll, Mike Ditka, Vince Carter, Magic Johnson, Joe Montana, Tim Tebow, Dennis Rodman, Zack Greinke, Rickie Weeks, Pat Summerall, Andre Reed, Marv Levy, Greg Norman, Paul Azinger, Bobby Bowden, Lebron James to name a few. Being a loyal UCF Knight supporter, in the fall of 2007, Ryan created KevinSmithforHeisman.com, a site helping University of Central Florida running back Kevin Smith get nationwide Heisman respect.
He also builds, markets and manages the websites for athlete such as Dez Bryant, Terrell Owens, Brady Anderson, Brendon Ayanbadejo, Dominique Wilkins, Wayne Chrebet, Kenny "The Jet" Smith", Spud Webb, Marcellus Wiley, Darren Collison, Thurman Thomas, Steve Garvey, Gene Stallings, Dan Fouts, Danny White, Dan Hampton, Clinton Portis, William "The Fridge" Perry, Ray Lankford, Nick Anderson and many other popular celebrities.
In May of 2006, Ryan also co-founded RedCarpetMonday® an exclusive "invitation-only" social business network for business owners, professionals, senior level executives and entrepreneurs. The live events are designed for professionals to relax, socialize and share business ideas. The website, www.RedCarpetMonday.com is a networking community for members to interact and build business relationships.
Being an Orlando resident and die hard Magic fan, Ryan started a grass roots campaign called StayDwight.com, a fan community to help keep Dwight Howard secure in Orlando. With the departure of Shaq years ago and what we have seen happen in Cleveland with LeBron, he thought it was a good idea to help rally the community to show Dwight he means to the city of Orlando and keep the economy and local businesses going strong for years to come. Check out some of the campaign headlines receiving national exposure from ESPN, Yahoo! Sports, CBSSports, NBCSports, AOL SportingNews, the Orlando Sentinel and NBA.com.
Ryan is also a partner in FindVenture.com, a site connecting small business owners and entrepreneurs with venture capital firms looking to fund their industries thanks to a sophisticated matching algorithm and team of expert business consultants. FindVenture utilizes technology, the web, and relationships with accredited investors to streamline the process of deal-making between the entrepreneur and investor.
In his spare time, Ryan constantly looks for ways to change the world and has worked and help support many charities and foundations including the National MS Society, the Childrens Home Society, the Make a Wish Foundation, Vince Carter's Embassy of Hope and the UCF Foundation. Other hobbies include traveling to NYC, Chicago and Las Vegas, riding the Vespa, playing flag football, golf and ping pong, collecting sports memorabilia, hopping curbs in the Hummer, eating sushi and starting new Internet companies. Ryan actively follows the business ideas of Internet billionaire, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, and enjoys listening to the music of John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Robin Thicke and Michael Buble.
