With
a strong desire and passion for sports as both a fan and a
player, Ryan Totka founded Athlete Promotions, LLC on the
principal that sports fans and corporate clients should
enjoy the experience of interacting with their favorite
celebrity sports figures, both offline and online. With our
connections in the sports industry, we have the power to
make that possible. As well as assisting corporate clients
with making their events a success, our goal for our athlete
clients is to give them maximum exposure on the Internet by
creating official websites and developing marketing
solutions to help connect athletes, corporations and loyal
fans, maximizing the power of the Internet.
Growing
up in the Daytona Beach area, Ryan was an All-County wide
receiver in high school and a centerfielder in college, and
had hopes of playing sports at a high level, which fell
through due to a knee injury. He is still actively involved
in flag football and softball leagues throughout the Orlando
area.
Ryan was born in Edison, New Jersey on December 30, 1977 and
graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1999
with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in
Marketing. He was recently named the winner of the 2003
University of Central Florida Rising Star Award for the
College of Business and nominated for top 40 under 40 in the
Orlando Business Journal. Ryan currently lives in fast
growing downtown Orlando, Florida and has started four
successful companies over the past ten years.
Being
involved in sports all his life, he has hands-on experience
in looking for the most creative ways to promote athletes,
which including event promotion, Internet promotion and
creating a strong brand around the athlete. Along the way,
he's worked with many world class athletes, such as Wayne Gretzky, Vince
Carter, Nick Anderson, Thurman Thomas, William 'The Fridge'
Perry, Doc Rivers, Spud Webb, Zack Greinke, Rickie Weeks,
Steve Garvey, Torry Holt, Lebron James to name a few, which
is an experience like no other (besides catching a touchdown
pass).
Being a
loyal UCF Knight supporter, in the fall of 2007, Ryan
created
KevinSmithforHeisman.com,
a site helping UCF running back Kevin Smith get nationwide
Heisman respect.
In
his spare time, Ryan constantly looks for ways to change the
world, enjoys playing flag football, softball, golf, tennis,
biking and running. Other hobbies include traveling to NYC,
Chicago and Las Vegas, riding the Vespa, putting the top
down in the Audi TT, hopping curbs in the Hummer, eating
sushi and smoking cigars. Ryan actively follows the
business ideas of Internet billionaire, Dallas Mavericks
owner Mark Cuban, and enjoys listening to the music of John
Mayer, Jason Mraz, Robin Thicke and Michael Buble.
