Wendy’s is an international fast food chain founded by Dave Thomas in November of 1969. Popular for its square hamburgers, Wendy’s is the third largest hamburger fast food chain with more than 6,500 locations.
Clara Peller was Wendy’s first endorser and was featured in the restaurant’s successful “Where’s the Beef?” campaign in the early 80s. In 1985 she was replaced by founder Dave Thomas until he passed in 2002. Since then Wendy’s has featured some ads with an animated “Wendy” spokesperson, but focuses most of its advertising on the promoted product.
