Adam Scott SpeakerAdam Scott became the first Aussie to win a green jacket, producing the performance of his life to win the Masters on Sunday and finally whipped away the demons of last year’s British Open. Carrying the weight of a continent on his back and hauling around the burden of expectations for years hasn’t been easy at times for Adam Scott, who finally won his first major championship.

Scott, the first Australian to ever wear the famous green jacket, defeated Argentina’s Angel Cabrera on the second hole of the playoff after both men finished on nine-under on an enthralling day at Augusta.

As Scott sank the winning putt on the 10th at Augusta, in two playoff holes, banishing the pain and heartache which had haunted him following his humiliating collapse at Royal Lytham last July.

Since his days as a dashing amateur in Australia he has been a ray of hope for a proud sporting nation yearning for the next Greg Norman.

Scott has represented Australia in the WGC World Cup in 2002 and was a member of the International Team at the Presidents Cup in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. Despite making five appearances on the International team, he has yet to play on a winning team.

Scott is now going to be a sought after athlete for speaking engagements, endorsements and most likely corporate appearances in his home land of Australia.
