Alex Morgan AppearanceWith endorsements from Nike, Coca-Cola, Panasonic, GNC, AT&T and Mueller, maybe it’s time for a shampoo company to get in the game, as Alex Morgan used her “head and shoulders” to put the US Women’s team into the gold medal game this Thursday against a Japan team that beat them in the World Cup. Right before the game she tweeted (@AlexMorgan13) to “Live in the Moment”. That she definitely did.

It took over time for the US team to beat Canada, despite a hat trick performance by Canada’s Chrisitia Sinclair. Morgan’s goal was set up by Heather O’Reilly. Taking a ball from Abby Wambach, O’Reilly lofted a cross in front, where Morgan knocked it past a leaping Canadian goalkeeper, Erin McLeod.

Last summer Alex was the youngest player named to the United States World Cup roster. On July 13, 2011, she captivated the hearts of viewers worldwide when scored her first FIFA Women’s World Cup goal in the 82nd minute of the semi-final matchup against France giving the USA a 3-1 lead and ultimately, the victory. Alex also went on to score the first goal (69′) in the FIFA World Cup Final against Japan after coming in as a substitute at the half as well as assisting the Abby Wambach header (104′) for a goal in extra time.

Morgan has become the hottest female of the summer and is destined for many more endorsements, speaking engagements and appearance requests. Let’s hope her US team can finally get past Japan to bring home the gold!
