mike-tyson-evander-holyfield16 years ago the world watched as Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield’s ear during a WBA Heavyweight Championship fight at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. On October 17 the two boxers were together once again when they appeared together on Ora TV’s “Larry King Now.” In the interview Tyson admitted his actions in the ring that night were wrong, and the two fighters said they had long since reconciled before coming on the show together. Both appeared on the show in an effort to make sure that the incident, which is a black mark on boxing history, does not define their boxing careers. They now consider their relationship as less of a rivalry, and more of a friendship.

After beginning his career as a cruiserweight in 1985, Holyfield rose to the top of the boxing world, becoming Undisputed World Champion in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. Nicknamed “The Real Deal,” he retired with an overall record of 44-10-2. Since his retirement he has made several guest appearances in popular TV shows and movies, and is also the owner and founder of Real Deal Records.

The former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World, Tyson is the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight titles at 20 years old. During his career he was one of the most recognized sports personalities in the world, landing numerous endorsement deals and guest appearances in TV and movies.
