E'Twaun Moore AgentChicago Bulls E’Twaun Moore hosted a basketball camp for about 170 local Chicago kids on Friday, June 24 at the John Barratto Complex. At the clinic, the boys and girls who were lucky enough to participate were able to work on their sports skills with the athlete and his crew, and it was also a perfect way for them to mingle and make new friends during the school off-season. Even though the camp did some intense drills, the kids are convinced that it’s one of the best ones that helps them prepare for being on the basketball teams at their own schools.

The East Chicago, Indiana native got his start in his basketball career at a young age during high school years, in which he averaged about 21.2 points per game. He ended up attending Purdue University where he played for four seasons before entering the 2011 NBA Draft, which he was selected in the 2nd round by the Boston Celtics. After one year, he went to play for the Orlando Magic for two more and then to the Chicago Bulls for two more after that. Moore is only one of two players this season, the other being MVP Steph Curry, who shot 49% on two-pointers and 45% on three-pointers. Just this week it was announced that he will be joining the roster of the New Orleans Pelicans after signing a four year, $34 Million contract.

Moore was back in East Chicago this summer to host his own basketball clinic camp, which successfully brought in over 170 youngsters who have a love for the sport that he plays for a living. Many of the kids have been to other camps before, and it was found that his was one of the best ones in the area this year.
