College Football analyst Todd Blackledge spoke at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon that happened on November 30th in Canton, Ohio at Tozzi’s on 12th. During his talk, Blackedge discussed a lot about what is going on in the football industry, especially on the college front, and everyone who was present for it was thrilled about how things went. Many people were interesting in what he had to say regarding this year’s NCAA football championships, which is currently a hot topic for sports fans. In addition to that, the former Steeler also talked a little bit about the team he is currently coaching in town, which is a position he assumed in the year 2014.
The Canton, Ohio native attended Penn State University where he was a three-year starter for the team and made a great reputation for himself. He entered the 1983 NFL Draft and was selected as the 7th overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs, with whom he played with for four seasons. After his time in Kansas City, Blackledge went to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers for two more years before retiring as a player. The 1982 Davey O’Brien Award winner then went on to host radio shows in both Canton and Cleveland, and also worked as an analyst for ESPN and the Big East network.
Blackledge made an appearance in his hometown where he currently lives and works to be speak at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Luncheon at the late part of last month at Tozzi’s on 12th. He holds a special place in the hearts of local fans, as he is from the local area and has made them proud over the years.
