Brandon Carr SpeakerDallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr is set to come home this summer to hold his second annual football camp on June 13 at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School in Flint, Michigan. The camp will last for four to five hours and be open to children between the ages of 7 and 17. Carr and his special “guests” at the event, which will likely include other professional players and coaches, will teach the kids some drills, performance, and coordination skills so that they can better their game play. He made sure not to make girls excluded this year, as there will be a cheer leading camp that coincides with the football one so that they can learn some of the essential routines for high school.

The Flint native got his start into football in high school, but also played for Grand Valley State where he went to college. In the 2008 NFL Draft he was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs where he played for three seasons before going over to his current team, the Dallas Cowboys. The 2007 GLIAC Defensive Back of the Year already has 399 tackles in his career stats and will likely be around for at least a few more seasons with the Cowboys.

He will be returning to his home state of Michigan this summer to teach some youngsters the basic fundamentals of football and how they can improve their game on the teams that they participate on.
