Denver Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders took the time to drop by the 14th Annual Ed McCaffrey youth football camp that took place at the end of June in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. There were campers there between the ages of 8 and 15 who had many varying levels of experience with the game, and were beyond excited to see Sanders approaching them while they were outside participating in activities. He stayed to give them all a talk about what they were doing and how to be successful by working hard every day, even if the results don’t always turn out the way you want them to. The kids listened to Sanders very attentively and even gave them time to ask him a few questions before also giving them autographs. Even though it definitely made the kids’ day to see him, Sanders also commented on how special it made him feel to have the ability to inspire others.
The Texas native seems to have a connection with the number three. He did three years of college at Southern Methodist before decided to enter the draft, and in 2010 he was picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers during the third round. He stayed with the Steelers for three years before going to play with the Denver Broncos in 2014, where it was announced that he signed a three year contract with the team for $15 million dollars. The 2014 Pro Bowl Champion has commented that he is excited to get back on the field for training which begins at the end of July this summer.
Sanders showed up to surprise a bunch of young campers at the annual Ed McCaffrey football camp at the end of June, which completely shocked and made the day for several kids between the ages of 8 and 15. He talked to them about staying dedicated and focused on their goals, and even if things get rocky at times they will be successful.
