Tim Tebow Speaking FeePhiladelphia Eagles newly signed quarterback Tim Tebow spoke at an event this month in the Murphy’s Center in Murfressboro, Tennessee in which he stated how important religion can be for a person, especially someone who has to live under the pressure of the public eye and perform in the professional sports world. Tebow gave credit to his God for showing him how to live simply and humbly all while having to work his hardest to advance in his football career. He called upon his fellow athletes to investigate Christ on their own to see what he could do for them and how amazing things can happen once they open their minds to it. The former Bronco admitted that it is hard to remember who we are in today’s world full of technology, but with a little faith everything can be easier.

The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner grew up in a homeschooling environment, but eventually went to the University of Florida for his college education due to getting an athletic scholarship for the institution. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft and was selected by the Denver Broncos who had him on the roster for two seasons before getting traded to the New York Jets. In April of this year, Tebow signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles so there is a good chance that we’ll be seeing him on the field again. The quarterback is often remembered for his iconic prayer pose after making a touchdown during games, and is also very outspoken about his faith and its importance to him.

Tebow spoke at a Christian event in Murfreesboro, TN this July to encourage his fellow athletes to embrace religion and Christ, saying that it would open the door to so many more amazing possibilities.
