Gorman Thomas Speaking FeeFormer Milwaukee Brewers All-Star center-fielder Gorman Thomas will be the guest speaker at the Eau Claire Baseball Hall of Fame banquet in Florian Gardens in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. The banquet is the main fundraiser for the Eau Claire Baseball History Committee and serves as an induction ceremony for their newly elected Hall of Fame inductees.

This year the Hall of Fame ceremony will feature members of the 1980-83 Eau Claire Cavaliers. Tickets for the event are $65 and will include the banquet, dinner and a silent auction featuring top of the line sports memorabilia.

Gorman Thomas played 13 seasons in the big leagues after playing the first 11 seasons of his career with the Milwaukee Brewers. While playing in Milwaukee he was one of the team’s most popular players due to his ability on the field and his outgoing personality. In 1980 he played in every game for the Brewers and launched 38 home runs to go along with 105 RBI. Thomas retired in 1986 as a Brewer after seeing time with the Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners from 1983 to 1986.

This is an excellent opportunity to come out and meet a former Milwaukee Brewers star and get his perspective on life, hear some amazing stories from his big league career and get a dose of what made him one of the most popular players of his time.
