Former NFL Player Eric Mahl was announced as the keynote speaker for the 2017 Catholic Men’s Conference that’s taking place on October 28th in Portland, Oregon. The event is designed and put together for all young men at least 16 years of age who participate in the Catholic religion. The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. and finish around 4:30 p.m.. Tickets to get in are $60 at the door, $50 in advance, and only $30 for teenagers and young adults between the ages of 16 and 22. Mahl is likely to discuss his life leading up to the NFL and how it impacted his environment and faith. In addition to that, he will share stories about how his religion has helped him through some of the difficult times prior to becoming a professional football player.
The former Cleveland Browns player has stated that he has always known that he wanted to live a life centered on his faith. In 2005, he decided that it was too hard to leave the sport by himself, so he prayed a lot on it and ended up being cut from the team. Despite how difficult it was for him to leave the NFL, he had a new sense of freedom and was able to pursue the life he believes he was meant to live.
Mahl is scheduled to be the keynote speaker later on this fall on October 28th in Portland, Oregon for the 2017 Catholic Men’s Conference. It is open to men and male young adults of 16 years and up, so be sure to get your tickets in advance.
