Phillip FulmerFormer University of Tennessee Football coach Phillip Fulmer has been announced as the keynote speaker for the 2017 Industry Appreciation Breakfast that is happening next month on September 12th. The event will take place starting at 7:30 a.m. in the Oak Ridge Utility District Meeting Room on Jefferson Circle, and people are only able to attend by invitation only. This breakfast is sponsored by the Oak Ridge Utility District and the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, and the organizers are very excited to have Fulmer on board. He is expected to share some of the lessons he learned while coaching the Volunteers for so many seasons, as well as deliver some words of inspiration for those in attendance.

The Tennessee native was also was a guard on the University of Tennessee football team in the late 1960’s through the early 1970’s. Once he was finished with his playing career, he immediately switched gears and became an assistant coach for 13 years before taking on the role as head coach in 1992. In 2008 he retired officially from his sports career to spend more time with his family and do quite a bit of motivational speaking. Fulmer made a comment that he has an overwhelming amount of opportunities to speak for various occasions, however it is hard to pick and choose the ones that he does.

Fulmer will be present at the 2017 Industry Appreciation Breakfast happening in Oak Ridge, Tennessee later on this year and it will be an honor to have him as the keynote speaker. Everything begins at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12th at the Oak Ridge Utility District Meeting Room.
