Howie Long AgentHall of Famer Howie Long has been announced as this year’s speaker for the annual fundraiser and banquet for the Terre Haute Boys & Girls Club. The event will take place on November 11 at the O’Shaughnessy Dining Hall on the campus of the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in St. Mary’s, Indiana. The dinner festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and the food will be served at 7:30pm, and there will be many live and silent auctions taking place as well.

The Massachusetts native played football for Villanova University as one of the team’s best defensive ends, and was eventually selected by the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders during the 1981 NFL Draft. Long stayed with the California team throughout the entirety of his career until his retirement in 1993 with a Super Bowl ring and many other achievements under his belt. The eight-time Pro Bowl player became involved with acting after his football days and even landed roles in such movies as Firestorm, Broken Arrow, and 3000 Miles to Graceland. He joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2000 and currently works as a studio analyst for the Fox Sports Network.

Long will be speaking at this year’s THBGC fundraiser banquet in Indiana later this month and it’s going to be a lot of fun as well as very helpful for the local chapter of the Boys & Girls Club of America.
