A Celebrity Booking Agency

Carl Lewis AgentOlympic gold medalist Carl Lewis has been selected as the keynote speaker for the Curtis Frye Gala to Fight Diabetes which is taking place on June 6 at the Crown Coliseum Complex in Fayetteville. Tickets to the event will cost $40 per person if they are bought in advance, or $50 at the door on the day of the event. The gala is expected to begin right at 6 p.m. and go until about 11 p.m., it will be a lot of fun if you are in the area to attend!

The four-time Olympian was an active athlete from 1979 through 1996, and participated in the 1984, 1988, 1992 and 1996 Olympic games in four different track and field events. By the time he retired he had earned nine gold medals and one silver medal, and was named the “Olympian of the Century” by Sports Illustrated magazine. In addition to that, he is a multiple gold medalist winner from the World Championships, Pan American Games and the Goodwill Games. What’s interesting is that Lewis was drafted to both the NBA and NFL in 1984, despite not having any experience in either sport. He declined to play basketball and football professionally.

Lewis will be the main speaker for this year’s summer Curtis Frye Gala, and he is expected to draw in quite a large crowd to attend the event and hear what he has to say. He likely will talk about how his passion and drive for running and jumping played an important role in his success, because that is the best motivator out there.
