Anthony Davis AppearancesNew Orleans Pelicans star forward Anthony Davis took full advantage of the opportunity to appear on every well-known sports media entity last week at the 2014 NBA All-Star Game festivities. In fact, the 20 year old star went out of his way to devote his time to as many media activities as possible. On Thursday, February 13 he conducted roughly 10 separate one-on-one interviews while also making room his in schedule for NBA Entertainment, NBA Photos and NBA Cares. He followed up those appearances up by making autograph signing appearances, participating in the NBA community service project, and playing in the Rising Stars Challenge game on Friday night, attending the NBA All-Star festivities on Saturday night, and then making his NBA All-Star debut in the All-Star game on Sunday night.

“It’s been a great experience,” Davis said. “It’s been busy but I’ve been trying to enjoy it all. A lot of media, a lot of appearances, a game last night. I didn’t really get any sleep Friday night. I’m kind of tired.”

As far as the inspiration behind all the appearances during his All-Star debut Davis added: “Your career goes by fast. If you don’t take advantage of it, eventually you’re going to start whiting you did more. You have to have fun with it.”

Davis was the #1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and has since made a splash in the league, earning NBA All-Rookie First Team honors in 2013 in addition to representing the United States on the second “Dream Team” during the 2012 London Olympics.
