Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle was the keynote speaker for the CAA Football Media Day on July 25th at the University of Delaware, where he used to attend. During his speech, Boyle talked about how his time spent at the college was some of the best in his life, and that it was one of the ways that he and Joe Flacco instantly bonded due to attending the same campus. In addition to that, Boyle shared some words of inspiration as well that he believed would help current student athletes and anyone aiming to complete a far out goal. His main message was to “really put your head down and go to work”, as that is when magical things happen. Boyle didn’t expect to make it to the pros, but by not giving up and pushing himself he was able to accomplish that.
The Wantage Township, New Jersey native started playing football fairly early in his youth and eventually attended the University of Delaware where he was on the college team. He entered the 2015 NFL Draft where he was selected in the 5th round as the 171th overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he is still active on the roster today. Even though he is just in the beginning of his career, he is expected to have a very long and fruitful experience in the NFL.
Boyle recently visited his former stomping grounds at the University of Delaware at the end of July to be the keynote speaker for the CAA Football Media Day event. The audience was delighted to have him be a part of everything, and Boyle was excited to mingle with other athletes and some coaches.
