Terrell Owens AppearancesSix-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Terrell Owens has been looking for a new home in the NFL for quite some time. He last played for the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2010 season, where he caught 72 passes for 983 yards and nine touchdowns before suffering a torn ACL in the 2011 off-season. The Bengals decided not to resign the 38-year-old often flamboyant, and sometimes controversial, player.

Last fall, T.O. declared he was ready to return to the NFL and even wore a t-shirt with the words “I am” on the front and “ready” on the back to express his desire. In May, Owens even appeared on “Dr. Phil,” and declared he was trying to turn over a new leaf and had been mis-portrayed in the media.

On Monday morning, Owens had a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks, and just hours later it was announced that the team had agreed to terms with the former star receiver.  Owens has apparently found a new home in the Pacific Northwest, and perhaps coincidentally, also the home of Nike, the company with whom he had a major endorsement deal.

Will Nike welcome Owens back? He’ll likely be looking for a number of new endorsement deals as he tries to prove not only his talent on the field, but that he is a new man off the field as well.
