Victor Oladipo Speaking FeeVictor Oladipo made an appearance this past December at the Orlando Magic Holiday Basketball Camp that included 12 hours of expert instruction from the National Basketball Academy. Along with running some drills and skills portion of the camp, Oladipo’s greatest gift he gave was giving life lessons to the kids in attendance. Oladipo was the perfect person to discuss how to reach your dreams on and off the court for the nearly 50 kids attending.

The Silver Spring, Maryland native wasn’t as highly touted out of high school as some would think the number two overall pick and NBA up and comer would be. As Oladipo would say, hard work, dedication, and belief in himself made him into that. Out of high school Oladipo was ranked the 144th best prospect in his graduating class but after attending Indiana University with Coach Tom Creen, Oladipo learned that his biggest asset may be defense. He built quite the resume while at Indiana that included Sporting News College Basketball Player of the Year, the National Co-Defensive Player of the Year, and was a first team All-American. Subsequently, Oladipo was selected with the 2nd pick by the Orlando Magic in the 2013 NBA Draft and hasn’t looked back. In only his 3rd NBA season Oladipo has been seen as an up and coming NBA star that many believe can and will be a part of a championship team in the future.

Victor Oladipo made an appearance at the Orlando Magic Holiday Basketball Camp that had nearly 50 kids in attendance and included 12 hours of instruction from players and coaches. It was a great chance for kids to not only get expert help in the game of basketball but also life from one of the budding stars the NBA has to offer.
