Minnesota Vikings Adam Thielen recently visited Wisconsin this summer to speak at the Western Wisconsin Football Camp that took place at the end of July at Menomonie Middle School. Thielen really enjoyed talking to the youngsters and sharing his story with them to motivate them to shoot for their dreams no matter how big they are. On that day at the end of July, the wide receiver also conveyed to the kids that whether it’s a sport or something else in life that they are trying for, it’s important to grab every opportunity that comes their way to see where it leads them. He really wanted the kids to know that it’s extremely important to love what they do for work, too, and not to forget to have fun while they are doing whatever it is they enjoy.
The Detroit Lakes, Minnesota native started playing football during his high school years, and eventually, this led him to play college football while he attended Minnesota State University. He entered the 2013 NFL Draft but went undrafted, however, he managed to sign on with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent that year. Thielen still remains on the Vikings’ roster and has so far had six receiving touchdowns, 89 receptions, and 1,248 receiving yards. It’s safe to say that Minnesota fans are looking forward to watching him during the games this current football season.
Thielen traveled to Wisconsin at the end of July this summer to be a guest speaker for the Western Wisconsin Football Camp. The kids who were participating in the activities were thrilled to see the NFL star, and truly enjoyed his words of motivation.
