Robert Woods Biography

Robert Woods was born April 10, 1992 and is a former wide receiver for the USC Trojans football of the University of Southern California. Following the 2011 season, he was recognized as a consensus All-American.

Woods accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Southern California, where he has played for the USC Trojans football team since 2010. When he committed to the Trojans in 2010, he joined another high school All-American, Kyle Prater, in committing to play for the Trojans; Woods and Prater were ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 wide receiver prospects by several recruiting services.

He returned a 97-yard kickoff for touchdown in the Minnesota game on September 18, 2010. Several weeks later Woods had his breakout performance catching 12 balls for 224 yards against Stanford. The next week he tallied two more scores against Cal. He was named a Freshman All- American.

In the 2011 season opener against Minnesota, Woods broke the USC all-time record for receptions in a game (previously 15 by Johnnie Morton) and also tied the single game record for TD's with 3. He finished the season with 111 receptions, 1,292 yards and 15 touchdowns. His 111 receptions was a new Pac-12 record, breaking one held by Keyshawn Johnson since 1995. He is one of 3 finalists for the Fred Biletnikoff Award.

He was named to the 2011 AP First Team All American as a Sophomore.
